On Monday, Lexi's daycare was closed due to snow. That meant the baby and I got to stay home all day! I took her outside in the snow about mid-morning.
She wasn't all that impressed with it.
After we came back inside, Alexis took a nap on the couch with Stella while I got some actual work done.
I'm sure you guys are tired of hearing me talk about baby stuff and posting baby related photos all the time, but you had better get used to it! Baby will be here very soon!
The above photo was taken at 38wks 0dys. At 37wks Baby measured 9lbs - that's 2lbs more than the average. We had a talk with the Doc last Friday and if I don't go into labor this week (and we don't really think I will), Baby will be born via c-section on September 2nd.
This past weekend, Eric and I worked on the nursery to get everything ready.
Here is a view of the closet and bookshelf:
This is a closeup of the closet and the beautiful mermaid print my Aunt, Tracy, got from JooJoo on Etsy.
And here is the corner of the dresser that will be serving as a changing table as well. The ABC print is from StephanieFizer - also on Etsy.
We've only got about 10 days left before Baby arrives!!
We had my baby shower yesterday! I had a lot of fun and Baby got a lot of stuff!
These were the shower gifts - to the theme of Niki's Cookin' a Baby!
There was a donut cake instead of a traditional cake. Much yummier, in my opinion!
One of the games was for me to choose a favorite onesie painted by the guests. Those of you that know me already know the onesie I chose. For those of you that don't, refer back to this post.
I snapped some portraits of a few of the guests.

Gifts - Woot!
The animals did surprisingly well with so many people in and out of the house. Here, Athena hides beneath the gift table.
I'm 34 weeks along with 6ish weeks left until my due date. Although no one really thinks Baby is going to wait that long.
This was snapped this morning - 34wks 2dys.
In other news, we have been working on the nursery this weekend. I got this awesome tree decal from Dali Decals and Eric and I put it up yesterday. Also, Eric's mother bought us this glider to go in the nursery. I looove it!
(Please excuse the crappy iPhone shot. Better photos to follow)
Eric and I put the crib together today!! I think it looks great against the green wall and with the bedding. Now all we need is to get a mattress and then I can show the whole thing. Until then, here is a sneak peek.
This is the cradle Eric used as a baby. His mother has been saving it to pass down. We picked up when we went to Knoxville last weekend and set it up in front of the bay window in our bedroom. I really love it.
