Roses

My rosebushes have exploded, so yesterday afternoon I snipped a bunch and put them in mason jars to give to our neighbors. I wish I could keep some in the house, but Athena is a fiend when it comes to any kind of plant. She will not rest until she has eaten every last bit.

Saturday Cookout

This past Saturday we went over to our neighbor's house for a cookout. BJ and Amy have a big charcoal grill and we prepared the following food:



Shrimp
Steak
Chicken Kabobs with Peppers and Onions
Corn on the cob
Potato Wedges
Garlic Bread



I also made a strawberry pie from some farm fresh berries. We ate the pie before I got a chance to take a photo, so I'll leave you with a photo of the berries that I took when we got them, and an in process pie shot.





Needless to say, we ate ourselves silly that night.

Cradle

This is the cradle Eric used as a baby. His mother has been saving it to pass down. We picked up when we went to Knoxville last weekend and set it up in front of the bay window in our bedroom. I really love it.

Lilac

My aunt, Tracy, bought me a lilac plant this past weekend.
Lilacs are my most favorite flower ever.

Shadows

I walk into the kitchen in the afternoons and see these shadows on the wall. I really like them.
